Let's get first thing out of the way - it is not cheap. However, what you get in return is quite worth it.

I like charcoals for the sense of ritual, but they are a major hassle to clean up, plus the smell while they are getting ready is not pleasant. XKAH gets you going fast, and it is dead simple to set up. Battery life is decent and power bank charges reasonably fast if you have 40w PD charger. On full charge, you get two 90 minute sessions out of it. I got a spare bank to not worry about the downtime.

It takes a few tries to dial in the temperature settings for the tobacco you like. My range for blond-reds blend ended up being 265-280. It is never harsh unless you go crazy. There are no stray embers falling into the bowl, so taste stays smooth throughout the session. I would say that cloud volume might be slightly lower what I get from coals, but the temps are most likely lower than what I was used to, and I still am adjusting the bowl packing. In my opinion, tradeoff is reasonable as the taste profile is more pleasant.

Clean-up is straightforward. Could be a bit easier if not for the grills in the bowl, but I get why they are there and I did manage to get it clean with just water. Not a downgrade to clay bowl in this regard so far.

Overall, my only complaint so far is the battery capacity. You really need that spare to have peace of mind if you are having a longer session. Controls can also be improved, as I sometimes need to look up the manual to make sure how to do what I want, but that is also matter of habit.

I’ve been smoking hookah for over 20 years, tried just about every coal and setup out there, and had my nightly routine down to a science. I was skeptical at first, even after seeing all the hype.
But after trying the XKAH Hookah, I can honestly say I was impressed.
The design delivers consistent, even heat without the usual hassle of lighting coals. It burns the tobacco evenly and easily lasts 90 minutes or more with strong clouds, as long as you dial in the heat correctly.
This completely changes the session experience. Less effort, more consistency, and a cleaner setup overall.
If you’re a casual smoker or even someone experienced looking to simplify your routine, this is absolutely worth it.

I’m so impressed by that device!

I’ve been smoking shishas at home for about 7 years in my experience. It took me 3-4 shots to understand how to smoke the best with a specific tobacco. I smoke Dark Side. I’ve got the method, heat on 295, once heating is complete, I start smoking for about 5-10 minutes with the same temperature then put down the temp to 285 for about 10 minutes and then again down to 275 and it smokes up to 80 minutes with no issues. I hope all be good with the device.

It’s best thing that happened to me with smoking shisha. No more coals heating, turning coal during the smoke, everything is under control. No coals smell. I so love that new style without any coals!

I strongly recommend it! However it’s quite expensive in the beginning but with perspective for year, it should pay off completely. Hope all be good with batteries and the device.

I did run into issues with one of their devices but reached out to support and they immediately offered a replacement.

The flavour/smoke density and supplied heat levels are more than adequate.
Smoking mostly dark leaf tabacco (darkside/musthave/tangiers/blackburn/daily/starline/nash).

Not going back to coals for day to day use.

I was worried that it will not be as good as with the codes however, I ended up being even better.I am glad I bought the extra battery one! Usually one battery last 90 mins session.So with my friend’s visiting two batteries works great!!! 5 star product!
